Are you a qualified TA or ambitious graduate looking to work with challenging behaviour? Would a full time position as a Behaviour support assistant in a Manchester school be of interest to you?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary SEN school in Salford who have a full time position for a Behaviour support assistant. This is to start in September and work across KS3/4 with children requiring direct support within lessons and throughout school, previous experience working within a similar position is desirable; teaching assistant, learning mentor or voluntary work with Special Needs would be beneficial for applicants. For the successful applicant to this Behaviour support assistant role, you can expect;

-          A full time position with the opportunity to become permanent/contracted

-          Working alongside a supportive team within this Special Needs school

-          The opportunity to undertake designated SEN training (Team-Teach manual handling)

As an SEN provision, the school is much smaller than a mainstream environment, with an average of 12 pupils per class in KS3/4. The aim of this behaviour support assistant role is to enable pupils to develop both academically and socially, reduce disruption within lessons and ensure children meet the expectations of leadership and their individual targets for the year.

Teaching Personnel Manchester SEN branch work in partnership with this school which is part of a Multi-School trust, you will need to have suitable references to be considered and a DBS certificate (or be eligible to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
