Behaviour Support Mentor
We are currently recruiting Behaviour Support Mentors to work on a temporary and ad-hoc basis within a specialist education setting for children and young people with additional needs. This role is ideal for experienced support workers, teaching assistants, youth workers, or mentors who are confident supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a structured school environment.
Key responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support to pupils

Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
-
Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual support plans
-
Assisting pupils to access learning and daily routines
-
Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment
Requirements:
-
Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or additional needs
-
Calm, resilient, and confident approach to challenging behaviour
-
Ability to adapt quickly to different settings and pupil needs
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
-
Availability for flexible, short-notice assignments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
