Location: Darwen
Days: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Age Range: 10–16 years
Are you passionate about supporting young people and removing barriers to learning? Do you have strong behaviour management skills and a desire to make a real difference in an alternative education setting?
We are looking for a committed and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dedicated team in a Secondary Alternative Provision in Darwen, working with pupils aged 10–16 who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils in managing behaviour and engaging positively with learning

Build strong, supportive relationships with students

Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to implement effective strategies

Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
Requirements:

Experience in managing challenging behaviour in an educational or similar setting

A calm, confident, and proactive approach
-
A genuine passion for working with young people with complex needs

Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
