Behaviour Support Assistant – Full Time

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester 
Contract: Full time, long-term

A specialist behaviour provision in Oldham is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour, or individuals with a background in youth work or similar environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with behaviour and engagement
• Managing and de-escalating challenging situations
• Acting as a positive role model
• Supporting structured routines and learning
• Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams

Requirements:

• Experience working within SEMH, PRU or behaviour settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, confident and consistent approach
• Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
