Teaching Personnel are seeking passionate Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across a range of primary, secondary and specialist provisions in East London.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience or transferable skills such as:

  • SEMH Teaching Assistants / Behaviour Mentors
  • Experience in PRUs (Pupil Referral Units) or ARPs (Alternative Resource Provisions)
  • Youth Workers with strong behaviour management skills
  • Psychology Graduates looking to gain school-based experience
  • Sports Coaches (discipline, structure and engagement focus)
  • Graduates

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a role model
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Promoting emotional regulation and resilience
  • Working closely with teaching staff and SEN teams

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people (formal or informal)
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Resilient, patient and proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
