Salary: GBP60-70 per day (paid on a weekly basis, dependant on experience)

Suitable for: graduates, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, sports graduates. 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Primary PRU in south Birmingham and are looking for teaching assistants to support their team on a full- or part-time basis. The school is the Local Authority Alternative Provision for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education. They are referred for a number of reasons ranging from behaviour, to specific educational needs that cannot always be met in a mainstream setting. This post will involve working with children between the ages of 5 and 11 and teaching experience is desired, preferably with children with special educational needs. At this time of year, there is also a high demand for day-to-day teaching assistants, so if you are available 3 days or more per week between 8.30am and 3:30pm, then please do get in touch.

In order to be considered:
- SEN experience - working with children
- Passion to teach
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Provide 2 references
- Willing to complete a child enhanced DBS or have a DBS which is already on the update service

In return:
- GBP65-70 per day, depending on experience

All successful candidates will be required to fund a child enhanced DBS certification on the update service. This involves a one-off payment of GBP40 followed by yearly fees of GBP13. DBS Certification is an essential for ALL work in childcare settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
