Behaviour Mentor – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Skelmersdale | £14.25 - £15.00 per hour | Start ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? We are currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work within a range of SEN and SEMH schools in Skelmersdale, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, have additional learning needs, or require extra emotional and social support throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils regulate their emotions
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Assisting teachers in creating a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging student engagement, attendance, and personal development
  • Supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and other additional needs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience in education, support work, residential care, youth work, sports coaching, or similar settings is highly desirable
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
