Job description

On behalf of an Integrated Resource Unit which caters for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a specialist Teaching Assistant to join the existing passionate team from January 2021. 

The 15 place resource offers a nurturing environment to enable all children to foster a love for learning and experience a positive leaning journey. The unit provides a flexible curriculum; adapted to the inidivual needs of the students in order to engage and inspire. Responsibilities include assisting the class teacher in the delivery of a broad curriculum, supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis through the delivery of interventions and excellent classroom management. 


The succesful candidate will have recent experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with both students and colleagues. We are seeking a nurturing and passionate Teaching Assistant who is able to commit to a full time, temporary role until July 2021.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
