Art Teacher – Secondary School

Full-time | Permanent (or contract options available)
Competitive salary (MPS/UPS – dependent on experience)
I am currently working alongside a thriving secondary school in Yeovil that is looking to recruit a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to become part of their dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inspiring creativity and developing students’ artistic skills in a supportive setting.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan and deliver a broad curriculum that encourages creativity, experimentation, and self-expression
- Assess and track student progress in line with curriculum expectations
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that nurtures artistic talent
- Contribute to school life, including clubs, exhibitions, and enrichment activities
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
- Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art and creativity
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Encourage students to explore and develop their own artistic style
- Be enthusiastic, proactive, and a team-oriented professional
