Art Teacher required - Secondary School in Preston

Are you a passionate and creative individual with a love for Art and a desire to inspire young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and talented part-time Art Teacher to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Preston. This is a part-time position starting on the May 2026 providing a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the artistic development of our students.

Responsibilities:

-          Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons that engage and inspire students in accordance with the national curriculum.

-          Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and exploration.

-          Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop their artistic skills.

-          Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the art curriculum and ensure its continuous improvement.

Requirements:

-          Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specialising in Art or a related field.

-          A strong passion for Art and the ability to convey this enthusiasm to students.

-          Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and an understanding of effective teaching strategies.

-          Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.

-          Effective classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
