Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Poulton (FY5). This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026 offering the opportunity to teach Art as your main specialism, alongside English lessons as part of a split timetable.


The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students across both subjects, helping them develop confidence, creativity, and a love of learning.


The Role
- Teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver English lessons as part of a mixed timetable.
- Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance to a tutor group.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor student progress and support achievement across both curriculum areas.


The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Has experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting.
- Is willing and able to teach English as part of their timetable.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
- Has a passion for supporting students both academically and pastorally.
- Is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
