Job description

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity in a secondary school? Do you have the passion to inspire young artists, develop creativity, and encourage students to express themselves through a wide range of artistic techniques and mediums? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently working in partnership with several secondary schools across Oldham that are seeking talented Art Teachers for full-time and part-time positions. Opportunities are available for immediate starts as well as forthcoming academic terms, making them ideal for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and those looking for long-term or permanent teaching roles.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some opportunities available to teach at Key Stage 5. You will have the ability to encourage creativity while developing students' technical skills, confidence, and appreciation of visual arts. Schools are looking for teachers who can create an inclusive learning environment where students feel inspired to experiment, learn, and achieve their full potential.

You will be joining schools that place a strong emphasis on both academic achievement and personal development. As an Art Teacher, you will play an important role in promoting creativity throughout the school community, supporting exhibitions, enrichment activities, and wider artistic initiatives that help students develop their talents beyond the classroom.

We welcome applications from teachers who hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine passion for inspiring the next generation of artists and designers.

In return, schools offer supportive leadership teams, well-resourced art departments, ongoing professional development opportunities, and welcoming environments where staff wellbeing is valued. Flexible working options are available for those seeking part-time positions or greater work-life balance without compromising career progression.

This is an excellent opportunity to join successful secondary schools where creativity is celebrated and students are encouraged to think independently, take artistic risks, and develop skills that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers.
