Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Art Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Durham, with an immediate start available. The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver inspiring, well-structured Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 and bring genuine creative energy to an established department.

Art is a subject that gives students something uniquely valuable — a space to think differently, develop their own voice, and produce work they're genuinely proud of. The school is looking for a teacher who understands that and creates the conditions for it to happen every lesson.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Supporting students to develop practical skills across a range of media and techniques
• Fostering creativity, critical thinking, and independent artistic expression
• Assessing progress and providing meaningful, developmental feedback
• Contributing to displays, exhibitions, and the wider creative life of the school
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

To be considered:

• QTS or equivalent
• A degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline
• Proven experience teaching Art at secondary level
• Strong practical subject knowledge across a range of media
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
