Job description

A school in Tameside is looking for an experienced Art & Design teacher, to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. The required applicant will:

  • Hold QTS.
  • A degree (preferably in Art/Design or a related subject)
  • Must be able to deliver Art/Design lessons, across KS3/4 and if possible 5

The required applicant will:

  • Be able to confidently deliver Art & Design lessons, to children across a wide range of ages and abilities.
  • Will be able to understand the importance of working in line with school policy, as well as the importance of OFSTED recommendations on the school’s policy.
  • Can understand the importance of differentiation within the learning process, catering for students with SEN as well as those requiring EAL support.
  • Is competent in offering feedback to subject leaders, parents and students whenever necessary.
  • Can inspire students to produce unique pieces of work, as well as understand the need for ensuring every student is able to maximise their overall ability within the subject fully.
  • Is able to work with support staff to identify pupils who may require additional support within the subject area. 
  • Be comfortable in working with students on an individual level, as well as working with student sona  group basis. 

The school’s location in Tameside, is a short distance from Manchester city centre.
