Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and successful mainstream secondary school in Accrington to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Art & Design for a full-time position commencing in January 2027. This is a long-term role with the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic educator who can foster creativity, imagination and artistic confidence, while delivering engaging lessons that inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role:

• Full-time Teacher of Art & Design.
• Starting from January 2027.
• Long-term position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract.
• Teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons.
• Encouraging students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and self-expression.
• Contributing to the wider life of the department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching Art & Design within a secondary school setting.
• Be passionate about inspiring young people through creative learning.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
• Have strong organisational and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
