Alternative Provision Teacher
Are you a passionate and resilient educator committed to transforming the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Alternative Provision Teacher to support KS3–KS4 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at our site in Bedford.
About the Role In this role, you will work with small class sizes to make a genuine impact every day. You will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.

Support students with SEMH challenges to help them re-engage with learning.

Build positive relationships that promote trust, consistency, and emotional growth.

Collaborate with pastoral teams, SENCOs, families, and external agencies.

Contribute to behavior support plans and EHCP targets.
About Our Students Our learners are KS3–KS4 pupils who may have:
-
Identified SEMH needs.
-
Significant gaps in education due to exclusion or disrupted schooling.
-
EHCPs or other identified additional learning needs.
Requirements We are looking for a resilient and patient educator who meets the following criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
-
Experience working within SEMH, SEND, or Alternative Provision settings.
-
Secondary teaching experience (KS3–KS4).
-
Strong behavior management skills balanced with a nurturing, inclusive approach.
-
Resilience and a commitment to inclusive practice.
-
Adaptability to meet diverse and changing learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
