Location: Ammanford
Hours: 8:45am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £85.51
Start: ASAP | Flexible (Full-Time & Part-Time Available)

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a passionate and proactive ALN Support Worker to join Specialist Teaching Facilities (STF) within welcoming primary schools in Ammanford.
This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to support children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a structured, nurturing environment where every small step is a big achievement.
You’ll be working with pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASD), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Your Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support within STF classrooms
- Support pupils with ALN, ASD, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Use visual aids, PECS, and communication strategies for non-verbal pupils
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
- Work closely with teachers, ALN coordinators, and support staff
- Support daily routines, transitions, and structured activities
- Create a safe, consistent, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- A calm, patient, and empathetic individual
- A genuine passion for working with children with ALN/SEN
- Experience in education, care, youth work, or support roles (desirable)
- Understanding that behaviour is communication
- Confidence supporting sensory needs and structured routines
- Adaptable, reliable, and proactive approach
- Full UK driving licence and DBS (or willing to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
