Teaching Personnel are recruiting a passionate and proactive ALN Support Worker to join Specialist Teaching Facilities (STF) within welcoming primary schools in Ammanford.

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to support children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a structured, nurturing environment where every small step is a big achievement.

You’ll be working with pupils with a range of needs including autism (ASD), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Your Role

• Provide 1:1 and small group support within STF classrooms
• Support pupils with ALN, ASD, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
• Use visual aids, PECS, and communication strategies for non-verbal pupils
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Help pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
• Work closely with teachers, ALN coordinators, and support staff
• Support daily routines, transitions, and structured activities
• Create a safe, consistent, and engaging learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• A calm, patient, and empathetic individual
• A genuine passion for working with children with ALN/SEN
• Experience in education, care, youth work, or support roles (desirable)
• Understanding that behaviour is communication
• Confidence supporting sensory needs and structured routines
• Adaptable, reliable, and proactive approach
• Full UK driving licence and DBS (or willing to obtain)
