Teaching Assistant – Additional Needs (Supply)
Location: Primary to Post‑16 ALN/SEND Schools
Contract: Full Time & Part Time Available

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Additional Learning Needs?
Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and flexible Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Additional Needs schools, supporting learners aged 4–19.
You will be working with pupils with a variety of needs, which may include:
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- ADHD
- MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
- Physical disabilities
- Non‑verbal learners / communication needs
- Down syndrome
- Global developmental delay
- Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Challenging behaviours
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to help learners access the curriculum
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in class activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to support individual learning plans
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Support learners with personal care where required (training provided)
- Adapt activities and learning materials to individual ability levels
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Is patient, adaptable and compassionate
- Has experience with SEND/ALN or is eager to learn
- Can build strong, positive relationships with young people
- Is comfortable supporting personal care and physical needs
- Can commit to full‑time or part‑time supply work through our agency
- Is reliable, proactive, and confident supporting varied learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
