SEN Learning Support Assistant – St Austell Area
Full‑Time | Long‑Term Opportunity | Immediate Start Available

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school based in St Austell. This is a rewarding long‑term role supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to feel safe, engaged, and successful in their learning.
About the Role
You will be working closely with pupils who require additional support due to SEND needs such as:
- Autism (ASC)
- Speech, language and communication difficulties
- Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- Cognitive learning difficulties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 or small‑group support
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
- Creating a nurturing and structured learning environment
This role is ideal for someone calm, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
