Job Title: 1:1 SEN

Location: South East England, Oxfordshire, Oxford

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN (Special Educational Needs) support worker to join our team in Oxford, South East England. In this temporary role, you will be expected to work full-time hours, providing individualised support to students with special educational needs within an educational setting.

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis
  • Implement educational and behavioural strategies to promote student progress and development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualised learning plans
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of relevant educational strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Special Educational Needs)
  • Prior experience working in an educational setting with individuals with special educational needs
  • Understanding of educational frameworks and regulations related to special educational needs
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to meet the unique needs of each student

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in special educational needs support
  • Experience working with a diverse range of special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based in an educational setting in Oxford, South East England
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Salary range of £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
