What qualifications do I need?
For recruitment and managerial roles, a degree is desirable but not essential. For support department roles you may need a relevant professional qualification depending on the role and department you are applying for.
What experience do I need?
To join us as a Trainee Consultant no experience is necessary. Although it’s not essential, if you have had any kind of sales experience or worked in the education sector before you might find this useful. For managerial and support roles you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the role you are applying for and success in a previous, related position that would help you thrive here in your new position.
What is the recruitment process?
Our recruitment process is designed to be transparent and inclusive. It involves the following steps:
Application review: Once you’ve submitted your application, we will carefully review your CV against the requirements of the role.
Initial screening: If your profile aligns with the role, we’ll conduct a brief screening call to tell you about the role and to better understand your motivations, your skills and experience and how well you fit our values.
Face-to-face interview: Come and meet the hiring manager within our great office environment. This is a more in-depth competency-based interview to see how you've handled situations in the past, how well you communicate and connect with others and to give you a good feel for our workspace and culture.
Psychometric assessment: A short (15 mins) online psychometric assessment of your behavioural and cognitive skills. You can't fail the assessment, so it's nothing to worry about. It help us to better understand your strengths and what really makes you tick - the results inform the final interview stage. You'll only be asked to complete an assessment if we're progressing your application to the final stage.
Branch visit and final interview: The branch shadow is a further opportunity to meet more of the team and to have a go at doing some elements of the day-to-day job alongside our experienced consultants. You'll also have a final conversation with an Operations Manager or Director - so make the most of the opportunity to ask any final questions you have for us too - it's a two way process after all.
Offer: If you’re successful, we’ll extend an offer and guide you through the next steps to joining our team. Throughout the process, we’ll keep you informed and are always here to answer any questions.
How long does the selection process take?
We will try to schedule your interviews and visits to fit in around you where we reasonably can but you may need to be flexible and join us on at least one occasion during the working day so that you can really experience what its like to work here. We would normally expect our full selection process to take no longer than 2-3 weeks.
How will I know what vacancies are available?
With over 80 branches across the country we are bound to have an office location near you! We also offer great opportunities for those who wish to travel and work somewhere new in order to gain more experience and progress their career.
