We provide an unrivalled, dedicated support service for NQT’s to help navigate your way through the induction process whilst working as one of our highly valued supply teachers.
The NQT Process
A Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) is an individual who has completed their teacher training and obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Wales.
In Wales, it is a legal requirement that all Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) complete an induction period, which can include short-term or ad hoc supply teaching assignments.
You must finish your induction within 380 teaching sessions, with a maximum timeframe of five years from the date you achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Our NQT Support Programme
Starting your teaching journey as a supply NQT can be challenging, and we understand that you might need a bit more support. That’s why we’ve designed an induction programme that goes beyond the basics to give you tailored guidance throughout your induction year.
We’re committed to being accessible daily, providing practical help, and ensuring you feel confident in your teaching role. Your mental health and work-life balance matter as much as your professional development, and we’re here to help you build both from the start.
Completing Your NQT Induction Through Our Programme
- You must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a school teacher before starting.
- You must record all of your teaching sessions with the EWC
Working with Teaching Personnel during my NQT year and the years that followed was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the start, my consultant was incredible in ensuring I was placed in long-term roles within my subject area, enabling me to complete my NQT year seamlessly. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt supported every step of the way, not only by Teaching Personnel but also by the schools I worked in.
