Year 6 Teacher – Exmouth
Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching Role

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated, resilient, and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming school in Exmouth.

This rewarding role involves leading a Year 6 class and supporting pupils through a crucial stage of their primary education as they prepare for SATs and transition to secondary school. It is ideal for a committed teacher who can inspire, motivate, and support pupils both academically and emotionally.

Role: Year 6 Teacher
Location: Exmouth
Pay Rate: £25,350–£31,200 per annum (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and readiness for transition to secondary school
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Contribute to the wider school community

We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
