Year 5 Teacher – Maternity Cover

Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join one of our welcoming primary schools in York. This is a maternity cover position starting from May Half Term and continuing into the next academic year.

We are seeking both full-time and part-time teachers, and applications are welcome from fully qualified teachers and ECTs. Pay will be £120 – £200 per day depending on experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally within a Year 5 or upper KS2 classroom.

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.

  • Basic First Aid certification is desirable but not essential.

  • A clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). If you do not currently have a DBS, we can support you with the application.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
