Position: Year 4 Teacher
Location: Central Stockport (SK2)
Salary: £130 – £180 per day
Contract Type: Short‑term, Temporary

Our partner school in central Stockport is seeking a committed Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their friendly, community‑driven team. The school places strong emphasis on pupil‑led learning and is dedicated to supporting both the personal and academic development of every child.
This short‑term role is ideal for an ECT seeking valuable classroom experience, as well as for experienced KS2 practitioners looking to join a warm, inclusive, and forward‑thinking school environment.
Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum (Year 4).
- Teach core subjects including English, Maths, and Science, ensuring pupils build confidence and solid subject understanding.
- Use assessment data to track progress and support pupils’ ongoing learning.
- Differentiate teaching effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND, EAL, and SEMH pupils.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and senior leadership team.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing.
- Keep accurate records, assessments, and relevant documentation.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and daily school life.
Year 4 Teacher Requirements:
- A degree with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong understanding of KS2 teaching strategies and assessment frameworks.
- Commitment to delivering inclusive, high‑quality teaching for all pupils.
- A secure understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive practice.
- Ability to create an engaging, supportive classroom environment.
- A professional approach and commitment to upholding Teachers’ Standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
