Year 1 Teacher

Location: Bedford

Contract: 5th January – 17th July

Hours: full time

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Bedford who are seeking a confident and committed Year 1 Teacher to join them from January through to the end of the academic year. This is a full-time role with full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment.

The successful teacher will be confident delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum, supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS, and creating an engaging and nurturing classroom environment.

About the role:

  • Full-time Year 1 class teacher role

  • Planning, marking and assessment responsibilities included

  • Delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

  • Supporting pupils’ academic and social development

  • Working closely with support staff and senior leadership

  • January start, running until 17th July

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with QTS

  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1

  • Has strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed for the full duration of the role
