Contract: Full-time | Maternity Cover (Confirmed until July 2026)
Daily Rate: £166.32
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Are you a fluent Welsh-speaking teacher looking for a long-term, rewarding role within a supportive school environment?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming Welsh-medium primary school in the Cardiff area, who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 teacher to join their KS2 team from September 2025. This role is to cover a pre-planned maternity leave and is confirmed until the end of the academic year (July 2026) – offering consistency and security for the right candidate.

About the Role:

  • Full responsibility for a cheerful and enthusiastic Year 3 class of around 28 pupils

  • You’ll be joining a well-established, friendly teaching team who share planning and resources

  • Teaching through the medium of Welsh – full fluency in spoken and written Welsh is essential

  • Support from a dedicated teaching assistant within the classroom

  • Involvement in school activities, trips, and events is encouraged

  • Planning, preparation and assessment responsibilities are expected, with PPA time allocated weekly

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)

  • KS2 experience preferred (Year 3 desirable but not essential)

  • Ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for Welsh-medium education
