Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – Banbury Area

We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide 1:1 tuition to students in the Banbury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners on an individual basis and make a real difference to their academic progress and confidence.

Role Overview:
As a 1:1 Tutor, you will work with students who may require additional support outside of a mainstream school setting. This includes learners with SEND, those currently out of education, or students who need extra support to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions

  • Plan and prepare lessons tailored to each student’s needs

  • Track progress and provide regular feedback

  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles

  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with young people

  • Strong subject knowledge (Primary and/or Secondary level)

  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
