Job description

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and ready to begin a rewarding career in education? We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Trainee Primary School Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical classroom experience, whilst working towards achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Role: Trainee Primary School Teacher
Location: Burnley
Contract: Part-time / work around your studies
Start Date: ASAP

What You’ll Do

As a Trainee Teacher, you will:

  • Cover classes during Teacher’s PPA/Leadership/Subject Leader time.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, helping them grow in confidence and knowledge.
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and mentors who will guide your professional development.
  • Participate in training sessions, observations, and reflective teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including events, clubs, and enrichment activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching either EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Caring, patient and committed to helping children thrive.
  • Eager to learn, open to feedback, and ready to develop their practice.
  • Highly motivated, organised, and reliable.
  • A strong communicator with good teamwork skills.
  • Educated to degree level (or currently completing a degree).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
