Start Date: Monday 23rd (after February half-term)
Contract Type: Full-time (long-term or permanent considered)
About the Role:
We are seeking a fully qualified and passionate Teacher of Religious Education to join a supportive and well-regarded mainstream secondary school in the L12 area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Good Ofsted-rated school with a strong leadership team and a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality RE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring curiosity, respect, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and department
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A PGCE with QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for RE
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
