Teacher of English
Location: WA3, Wigan area
Start Date: January 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent role)
Salary: MPS/UPS – based on experience

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of English to join a supportive secondary school located in the WA3 area. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, strong academic results, and commitment to developing confident, articulate learners.

The successful candidate will deliver creative and engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students to develop a genuine appreciation for literature and language while achieving their best possible outcomes.

You will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be an ECT ready to start your career

  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • Be able to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons

  • Build positive relationships and inspire a love of learning in every pupil
