Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full‑time
Start Date: May 2026
Salary: From £165 per day (Dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our successful and forward‑thinking English Department. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to begin their career in a supportive environment.
As a member of our team, you will deliver high‑quality lessons that inspire students, promote a love of English language and literature, and help learners secure strong progress across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons across KS3–KS4.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing effective feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the English department.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and strong classroom management.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and whole‑school initiatives.
- Support the academic and personal development of all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
