Support Worker – Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Young People with Autism
Are you compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people to grow and thrive? We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our outstanding specialist day and residential school.
Our young people have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), with Autism as their primary special need. They may be working at or above age-related expectations or have moderate learning difficulties. Many require support with social interactions, organisation, problem-solving, and developing independence.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will:

Provide keyworker support, acting as a trusted adult for your allocated young people

Encourage independence and life skills, helping them explore hobbies and new activities

Support young people in building friendships and understanding the wider community

Assist with day-to-day tasks to help them access education and develop confidence
Requirements:

Ability to drive with access to a vehcile, the school is not accessible by public transport

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

Full-time (40 hours) preferred, part-time (32 or 24 hours) also considered

Willingness to complete Level 3 RQF within two years (support provided)

No prior experience required – we are happy to support and train the right candidates
Shift Patterns:
-
Early: 07:15 – 15:30
-
Late: 15:00 – 22:30

Long Day: 07:15 – 22:15

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
