Location: Tameside

Job Type: Day -to- Day Supply Teacher (EYFS/KS1)

Salary: £130-160 per day

Start date: February 2026

Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher seeking a more flexible work-life balance, or simply looking to broaden your experience across different school settings? We are currently welcoming enthusiastic educators to join our supportive supply team, working with primary schools across Tameside and the surrounding areas. Through Teaching Personnel, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the progress and well-being of children within EYFS and KS1 in welcoming, well-supported school environments.

What does the role involve?
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that align with school expectations and the EYFS/KS1 curriculum, stepping in for both planned and last-minute absences. You’ll need to manage the classroom confidently, create a positive learning atmosphere and adapt quickly to a mix of subjects, year groups and teaching approaches. Day-to-day cover often involves following pre-prepared lesson plans, though you may occasionally need to use your initiative to plan and deliver your own content. Ensuring strong behaviour management, supporting pupils’ academic and emotional development and maintaining communication with school staff are key parts of the role. Flexibility is essential, as work may be pre-booked or arise from early morning calls.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking teachers with QTS (or equivalent) and experience working across EYFS and KS1. Confidence delivering phonics is desirable but not required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, adaptable attitude, effective behaviour management skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons. You must also hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
