The Role
We are seeking experienced and passionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to join this fantastic team. In this role, you will work closely with pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing focused support that meets their individual needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering personalised 1:1 support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Helping pupils manage and regulate challenging behaviours.
- Building positive, trusting relationships to remove barriers to learning.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
- Confidence in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build meaningful, supportive relationships with students.
- A genuine commitment to helping children succeed both academically and emotionally.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal educator will have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll be confident in handling behavioural challenges and skilled in using de-escalation strategies. The school is seeking a team player—someone passionate, reliable, and committed to keeping children safe, supported, and ready to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
