The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside classroom teachers to deliver high‑quality support and care to pupils aged 4–16 years with a range of additional needs. These may include:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Behavioural and emotional difficulties
You will collaborate closely with class teachers and senior leaders to help create a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting young people
- Experienced in SEN(D) support, either within or outside of an educational setting
- Confident in clear verbal and non‑verbal communication
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, therapists and wider support staff
- Knowledgeable in positive behaviour support strategies
- Flexible and confident working across different age groups
- Able to de‑escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
Working Hours & Benefits

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 08:15 – 15:00
- Wednesday: 08:15 – 16:00
- Term‑time only
- £13.75 per hour
