Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary SEN School in Winchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm
Contract: Permanent after probation period

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Secondary SEN School in Winchester. This school specialises in catering to the needs of children aged 11-16 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with PMLD in a classroom setting.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene routines.
  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with PMLD, is desirable but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
