SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

SEN learners across the UK have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education in recent months. Academic, social, and emotional support offered by the school environment have been absent for several months. Teaching Personnel have recently receieved an influx of requests for SEN Teaching Asssistants to support students who require additional classroom support.

Daily rate: GBP65-70/day

Full time and part time positions available!

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with SEN and other vulnerable learners in school
  • Supporting with academic work and helping to mitigate the negative implications of lost time in education
  • Monitoring emotional wellbeing through regular check-ins and ‘feeling’ discussions
  • Minimising disruption through established behavioural management techniques
  • Creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all

Candidate requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2 (+), any other relevant degree qualification
  • Experience working with SEN and vulnerable individuals
  • Friendly, personable, and able to build meaningful and trusting relationships with students
  • Hold a passion for inclusion and supporting education and development
  • Availability to start in the coming months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
