EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Job Type: Full-time
Start Date: January
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe. This role involves working closely with a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage who requires additional support with communication and social interaction needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs (SEN) in an EYFS setting
- Support with learning, emotional regulation, and social development
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and external agencies
- Use tailored strategies to support communication and understanding (e.g. visuals, Makaton, or PECS)
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in an EYFS or primary school setting
- Knowledge of strategies to support speech, language, and communication needs
- A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification, or equivalent experience)
- A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
