Job description

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Rochdale‑based specialist provision after the Easter break. The role involves supporting young people with a range of complex Special Educational Needs, including those with EHCPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learners aged 11–19 in classroom, small group and 1:1 settings.
  • Assist in delivering differentiated learning aligned with the setting’s core values.
  • Encourage positive routines and behaviour — pupils are described as polite, well‑mannered, and benefiting from structured routines.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team including teaching staff, therapy leads and safeguarding professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
