Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Year 3)

A fantastic primary school is seeking a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 3. This role is ideal for a resilient, proactive individual who is passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
This position requires someone who can build strong, trusting relationships, deliver consistent support strategies, and remain calm and positive in a busy classroom environment. You will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop independence, and feel secure throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
✨ Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the child’s individual learning and emotional needs
✨ Adapt classroom activities to promote engagement and progress
✨ Implement behaviour and learning strategies set by the SENCo and class teacher
✨ Support social development, confidence, and positive routines
✨ Work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Has proven experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis
✔ Is calm, patient, and confident managing challenging behaviour
✔ Can demonstrate initiative, consistency, and a nurturing approach
✔ Is committed to making a real and lasting difference to a child’s school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
