SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Full Time

Location: Penwortham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45am – 15:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s life?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with a diagnosis of Autism and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment and is confident supporting children with additional needs.

The Role:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Implement strategies outlined in the child's EHCP
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

Requirements:

-       Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism

-       Strong understanding of EHCPs and how to deliver individualised support

-       Excellent communication and teamwork skills

-       A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
