SEN Teaching Assistant – Leeds

Location: Leeds
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Short-Term / Long-Term / Temp-to-Perm

We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in specialist SEN schools across Leeds, working with children and young people with PMLD, SEMH, autism, and challenging behaviour.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong SEN background who are confident delivering personal care and supporting emotional and behavioural needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with complex and profound needs
• Deliver personal care and assist with mobility
• Support pupils presenting SEMH and challenging behaviour
• Use positive behaviour and de-escalation strategies
• Build consistent routines and safe learning environments

Requirements:

✅ SEN / care / residential experience
✅ Comfortable with personal care and physical support
✅ Team Teach training preferred
✅ Calm, proactive, and compassionate
✅ DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
