Job description

We are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a specialist day school in Guildford for students aged 2–19 with SLD and autism.

Role Overview:

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assist with communication, learning, and behaviour support

  • Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists

  • Provide physical and emotional support where needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Patient, caring, and enthusiastic

  • Experience with SEN is ideal but not essential

  • Strong communication skills

  • Willing to complete an enhanced Child and Adult DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
