Experienced Teaching Assistant – Full Time (KS2)
Location: Bacup
£13.75 per hour
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bacup, working 1:1 with a Key Stage 2 pupil who presents with challenging behaviour.

This is a full-time position and would suit a confident, resilient and committed professional who has previously worked within a school setting and understands the expectations, pace and safeguarding requirements of a primary school environment.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil

  • Supporting a child with SEN and challenging behaviour

  • Implementing behaviour management strategies consistently

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Supporting academic progress as well as emotional regulation

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school (essential)

  • Experience supporting children with SEN

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Ability to build positive and professional relationships

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

This role requires someone proactive, confident and able to maintain clear boundaries while providing nurturing support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
