Job description

Primary SEN Teacher – Waterlooville 

Start Date: January 2026 (or as soon as possible)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated and nurturing teacher with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary Teacher to work exclusively with a small group of pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities in our friendly and inclusive primary school in Waterlooville.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to children who thrive with a more personalised approach.
You will:

  • Teach and support a small group of pupils with diverse SEN profiles, including those working significantly below age-related expectations.

  • Plan and deliver highly differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.

  • Work closely with our SENCo, support staff, and external professionals to ensure every child’s progress and wellbeing.

  • Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

About You

We’re looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to meeting the needs of all learners.

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (for example, ASD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs).

  • Can adapt teaching approaches creatively and flexibly.

  • Brings warmth, patience, and a sense of humour to the role.

  • (ECTs with relevant experience or strong SEN interest are welcome to apply.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
