General Science Cover Teacher – Dorchester
Full-Time | 5 Days a Week | Start: After Easter | Middle School
Contract until end of July
Are you a Primary or Secondary trained teacher looking for a stable, full-time role after Easter? A welcoming Middle School in Dorchester is seeking a confident and adaptable General Science Cover Teacher to support KS2–KS3 learners in a dynamic and engaging environment.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned Science lessons across Year 5–8
- Provide consistent classroom cover across the Science department
- Create a positive, supportive learning atmosphere
- Work closely with department staff to ensure continuity and progress
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, from after Easter until July

This position is suitable for both Primary and Secondary teachers. Whether you’re a Primary teacher confident delivering upper KS2 curriculum or a Secondary teacher comfortable working up to KS3, the school is open, supportive, and values strong classroom presence over subject specialism.

Requirements
- QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
