Teacher of Religious Education (Full-Time)

Location: Secondary School in Lancashire
Start Date: May Half-Term 2026
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
School Rating: Ofsted ‘GOOD’

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Lancashire from May Half-Term 2026.

This Ofsted-rated ‘GOOD’ school is highly respected for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral culture, and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching across the curriculum. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive Humanities department with a track record of strong outcomes and collaborative practice.

The Role:

  • Full-time teaching of RE across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver inspiring, engaging, and thought-provoking lessons in line with the RE curriculum
  • Contribute to the wider school community and support the school’s vision and values
  • Take responsibility for planning, marking, assessment, and progression of pupils
  • Promote a respectful, reflective classroom environment where pupils can explore beliefs, values, and worldviews

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be an experienced Religious Education specialist
  • Hold QTS
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and excellent subject knowledge
  • Have a passion for RE and a commitment to helping pupils develop critical thinking and moral understanding
  • Bring dedication, reliability, and a proactive approach to teaching and learning
