Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in North Liverpool to recruit an enthusiastic Psychology/Sociology Teacher. The school, rated Good by Ofsted, seeks a teacher who can bring energy, clarity, and subject expertise to the Social Sciences department. This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent post.
Position Overview
The role involves teaching Psychology and Sociology across Key Stage 4, with the potential to deliver Key Stage 5 lessons depending on experience and departmental needs. The successful candidate will join a school that prides itself on strong academic standards, excellent pastoral support, and a collaborative staff culture.
Core duties include:
- Delivering high-quality lessons that encourage critical thinking and independent learning.
- Designing and adapting curriculum plans to meet the needs of a diverse student body.

Person Specification
Applicants should demonstrate:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and/or Sociology.
- A proven ability to engage students in academic discussion and reflective learning.
- A proactive, organised approach to planning and teaching.
- Availability to begin the role immediately.
