KS2 Primary Teacher – Full-Time Supply
Location: York
Pay: £140 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time Supply
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable KS2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in York on a full-time supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys the flexibility of supply work while building strong relationships with pupils and staff over a consistent placement.
You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, delivering engaging lessons across Years 3–6, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel supported, motivated, and confident to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the KS2 curriculum

Confidently follow pre-planned lessons and adapt teaching to meet pupil needs when required

Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and learning

Assess learning informally and provide feedback to support progress
What we’re looking for:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Proven experience teaching across KS2 (Years 3–6)

Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate pupils
-
Flexibility, professionalism, and adaptability – essential qualities for supply teachers
-
A commitment to inclusive education and supporting every child to reach their full potential
-
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting work)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
